This is a digital painting of a 1970 Plymouth Superbird that I did for a final in college.
The point of the assignment was to find a picture of any object, as long as it was a high-quality image. I found a picture online of a Plymouth Superbird, I instantly knew this was what I wanted to hand paint. I love how realistic it is! l feel the reflections add realism and life to the painting.

Herbie The Love Bug
The goal was to create a digital painting of anything that we wanted. I am a big fan of Herbie the Love Bug, so I found a picture of a Herbie at an auction house, but just the hood.
It was the perfect challenge
I love how you can see all of the reflections from the lights on Herbie’s hood. It really gives the painting a feel of realism. It was pretty hard to paint reflections by
This is a digital painting I created before I even started in graphic design.
Let me tell you a little bit about how I created this painting. It started as a reference photograph from a Michael Jackson music video. I then opened it in Adobe Photoshop, and used the eyedropper tool to pick up color from every colored area you see. I then began painting using a size five brush through the entire proce
This is a digital painting I created when I was a senior in high school.
It started just as any other digital painting does, as a reference photo. I found a cool picture of Michael Jackson that I liked. I opened it in Adobe Photoshop, and used the eyedropper tool to pick up every bit of the colored area. I then used a small sized brush to paint the whole image.
I chose to paint ths photo because I l
This s a digital painting I hand painted in my free time. I picked a photo of Michael Jackson from a music video he did for his song, Leave Me Alone.
I chose this photo because I love the way that Michael was looking across the camera, and how high quality the reference photo was. I love how realistic this painting turned out!
This is a digital painting I did of my dog Tessa.
This painting started as a photo that we took on her 12th birthday. Tessa was a springer spaniel, and as you can see by the painting, she was cute & impatient. I chose blue for the background as a color that would make a white dog stand out. I painted the cake toy, then added sparkles because she was a girl, and girls like sparkles. I added a cloudy
This is a digital painting I did of our dog Loki.
He is a goldendoodle. I painted this as a screensaver for my mom, as Loki was a gift to her. I painted the picture of Tessa, but I thought it would be nice if I painted a picture of the other sibling as well. I chose blue again because I wanted the two pictures to have the same color background. I added a cloudy effect to show the reflection in Lok
This is a digital painting I did for fun of Elvis Presley during a photoshoot.
I opened the photo in photoshop, and used the pen tool to map out all of the highlights, shadows, etc.
I love how realistic it looks. All of the shades of red in his shirt was very hard to design, but I managed, and I think it looks great!
