The point of the assignment was to find a picture of any object, as long as it was a high-quality image. I found a picture online of a Plymouth Superbird, I instantly knew this was what I wanted to hand paint. I love how realistic it is! l feel the reflections add realism and life to the painting.

This painting started as a photo that we took on her 12th birthday. Tessa was a springer spaniel, and as you can see by the painting, she was cute & impatient. I painted the picture of Tessa, but I thought it would be nice if I painted a picture of the other sibling as well. This is a digital painting I did for fun of Elvis Presley during a photoshoot.

I opened the photo in photoshop, and used the pen tool to map out all of the highlights, shadows, etc.

I love how realistic it looks. All of the shades of red in his shirt was very hard to design, but I managed, and I think it looks great!
